The history of Sushi Sur Mar del Plata started when Carlos Iriarte, known as Charlygraduated as a professional chef in 2008, driven by a genuine passion for good food and the pleasure of entertaining others. On the road to becoming a renowned chef in Mar del Platahe met Eugenia, who worked as a waitress. Today, she is his wife and partner in Sushi Sur Mar del Plata. "We decided to explore new regions and moved to Federación, Entre Ríos. This change strengthened us, especially personally. We lived there for three years, during which time our family grew with the arrival of our first child. This new stage made us realize the need to return to our roots, close to our family. We returned to Mar del Plata with a new vision, clear priorities and renewed strength," they tell us. 

Afterwards, they continued to work on hotels and restaurants in Mar del Plata until the pandemic shook their plans. "It was then, in the 2020 season, already settled into the South zone of Mar del Plata (Alfar Neighborhood)where he was born Sushi South. It was created with the idea of offering a quality proposal that did not exist in the area, and we put all our experience and knowledge acquired into our own venture," they explain.

From then on, they began to grow with the establishment of their production center. 

"This space allowed us to work more comfortably and significantly improve our service, both in quality and production capacity. The beginning was not easy; every night was a battle. But today we are more consolidated, we know that our workflow is efficient and, most importantly, we guarantee that the final product meets our standards of excellence."
